Clerkship Overview
The Clerkship externship program has been a long standing component of our residency program. We pride ourselves in providing a teaching opportunity for students from all the different podiatric medical schools around the country.
The overarching goal for clerkship training is to prepare each student with a solid grounding in
podiatric medicine and surgery in an environment that strongly fosters intellectual curiosity and
a spirit of inquiry. Our innovative curriculum ensures continuous relationships with supervising
residents, continuity of care with patients, diverse clinical settings and experiential learning with
graduated autonomy. In fact, most of our students are well prepared for the upcoming
residency interview process and gain insight into a highly productive and energetic residency.
