Clerkship Overview
The Baylor Scott & White podiatry clerkship offers comprehensive exposure to a wide range of inpatient and outpatient foot and ankle pathology, elective and non-elective surgical treatment, academics, and a hands-on teaching approach. Clinical exposure covers inpatient and outpatient management, trauma, outpatient wound care, pediatrics, sports medicine, limb salvage, reconstruction, and direct experience with the EMR.

Residency Overview
The Baylor Scott and White Health Care System/Baylor College of Medicine-Temple, Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program is located in Central Texas (Temple) and includes 10 hospitals and 15 major regional clinics. The Baylor Scott and White Memorial Hospital is a 640-bed level one trauma center. All didactic, clinical, and surgical training takes place at the main Baylor Scott and White hospital/clinic, which has 550 physicians. Training also occurs at the McLane Children's Hospital and the Olin E. Teague VA Hospital/Clinic. We have a rotation at Fort Hood (Killeen, Texas), the second largest active military base in the country. Travel to regional clinics, hospitals, and surgery centers in Central Texas is required.
