Emphasis is placed on clinical podiatric medicine, surgery, advanced surgical technologies, reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery, and research support—preparing podiatric physicians to succeed in any future practice setting.

Residency Overview
The University of Chicago Medical Center (Endeavor/NorthShore) Podiatric Residency offers a surgically focused, academically driven training program. Residents rotate through high-volume institutions including Endeavor Health, the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the U.S., and Rush University Medical Center. Training occurs at multiple Level I/II trauma centers, with graduates logging 1,000+ surgical cases in forefoot, rearfoot, trauma, reconstruction, arthroscopy, and sports medicine. The program features a 100% ABFAS board pass rate and access to advanced technology, including robotic-assisted surgery, intraoperative imaging, and 3D planning. The program emphasizes education, clinical excellence, and research, with support from project design through publication.
