The Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot /Ankle Certification (PMSR/RRA) at Corewell Health Farmington Hills provides comprehensive training in both medical and surgical aspects of podiatric care. Our program is committed to preparing residents for successful, independent practice through exposure to a wide variety of pathology, surgical procedures, and clinical experiences. Residents train in a collaborative environment alongside multiple specialties, including general surgery, vascular surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine, radiology, infectious disease, and wound care.

Residency Overview
The Corewell Health Farmington Hills Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency (PMSR/RRA) offers comprehensive training in both the medical and surgical aspects of podiatry, with a strong emphasis on reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, trauma, biomechanics, and diabetic limb salvage. Residents benefit from diverse clinical rotations in vascular surgery, orthopedics, plastics, anesthesia, and emergency medicine, while also gaining extensive experience in wound care and outpatient podiatric medicine. The program features a robust didactic curriculum with journal clubs, cadaver labs, and board review, alongside abundant research opportunities and support for national presentations. With its balanced focus on surgical excellence, medical management, and academic development, the program prepares residents to become well-rounded, board-qualified podiatric physicians and surgeons.
