Introduction
As a resident at our program you will receive a multi-faceted education encompassing all aspects of foot and ankle surgery with a strong emphasis on the following surgical areas: Reconstructive adult and pediatric foot & ankle surgery Total ankle replacement Total talus replacement 3-D custom implants Foot & ankle trauma surgery Diabetic (Charcot) limb salvage reconstructive surgery Elective forefoot surgery We are a 185-bed full-service hospital with Level III Trauma status. We partner with Detroit metropolitan Airport and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients. The program is accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. As a resident at our program, you will receive a multi-faceted education encompassing all aspects of foot and ankle surgery with a strong emphasis on the following surgical areas: reconstructive adult and pediatric foot & ankle surgery including total ankle replacement, foot & ankle trauma surgery, diabetic (Charcot) limb salvage reconstructive surgery, and elective forefoot surgery. Program classified as PM&S-36, rearfoot/ankle.
