DVA - Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Introduction

The Cleveland VA Medical Center has provided podiatry students and residents training experiences for over 30 years. The institution hosts trainees from every discipline and prides itself on high academic standards. The faculty welcome all trainees throughout the facility. The main hospital, Wade Park, receives patients from a large geographic area of Northeast Ohio. In addition to the attendings at the main campus, there is a strong podiatry presence in all the associated VA clinics which funnel cases to the hospital and nearby surgery center. There are new facilities, such as a surgical center in Akron, currently under construction which will expand the reach of podiatry surgical services. The mutually respectful collegial relationships among podiatry, orthopedics, vascular and medicine services enable Cleveland VA podiatrists provide full unfettered advanced surgical and non-surgical care below the knee including all rearfoot trauma and reconstruction.
