Clerkship Overview
Level 1 trauma center in major metropolitan area with rotations at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. Comprehensive foot and ankle education with an emphasis on surgical training including: reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, deformity correction, diabetic limb salvage, trauma, and flap surgery. Significant exposure to off service medical and surgical specialities during training years. The University of Cincinnati is a major academic medical center with a tremendous amount of resources and experiences available for residents during their education. Training includes didactics, clinical, as well as a strong emphasis on surgical training.

Residency Overview
One of the few Podiatric Residency programs in the country which is University based giving the residents an opportunity to interact with the residents from 53 other residency programs. The podiatric residents have the same rights and privileges granted to the other residents within the hospital. Approved by CPME as a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery with a 3 year commitment. Students from all schools are considered equally. Tremendous opportunity for a resident as well as for our profession. Training encompasses a broad range of surgical exposure with complex cases with the facility serving as a major referral center.
