Corewell Health Trenton Hospital
Introduction
Our residency program offers a strong surgical emphasis with comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of both forefoot and rearfoot procedures. Residents will gain hands-on experience managing a diverse array of pathologies, working closely with skilled attendings across a range of subspecialties. From initial consultation through post-operative care, residents follow patients through the entire continuum of surgical treatment, developing both clinical judgment and technical expertise. A dedicated wound care clinic further enhances training, offering experience in limb preservation and advanced healing modalities. With numerous attending physicians on staff, residents benefit from a wide variety of surgical approaches, philosophies, and mentorship styles—ensuring a well-rounded and robust surgical education. While a clerkship is not required for application, we strongly encourage prospective residents to schedule a program visit to experience firsthand the collegial atmosphere, surgical volume, and commitment to education that define our residency.Residency Director
