Clerkship Overview

The HCA Florida Mercy Hospital / Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine residency is a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle (PMSR/RRA) credential. It is an accredited, three-position program offering comprehensive surgical training across the full spectrum of foot and ankle procedures — from routine forefoot corrections to complex reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgeries. Residents gain experience in trauma management, diabetic wound care, and limb salvage, working alongside multidisciplinary teams that include specialists in anesthesiology, dermatology, emergency medicine, and behavioral sciences. The program is committed to developing skilled, compassionate podiatric surgeons through collaborative learning, clinical innovation, and professional growth.
