Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, an 833-bed teaching facility, houses Northern Virginia's only Level 1 trauma center and is the off-site campus for the UVA med school, with residents fully integrated within the GME community. Strengths of the Program include extensive training in reconstructive rearfoot & ankle surgery, plastic surgery and limb salvage/external fixation, strong didactic program, hands-on medical rotations, a large podiatric and medical teaching staff, a busy in-patient podiatric service, a formalized trauma rotation in conjunction with the orthopedic trauma team. Rotation at Winchester Medical Center includes podiatric surgery, and ortho foot & ankle trauma (Hospital provides housing). Weekly cadaver dissection workshops & seminars at the Advanced Surgical Technology & Education Center, the on-campus surgical clinical skills lab. Research and publications.
