Introduction

The Salem VA Medical Center Residency Program is a well rounded comprehensive training program based at a large veterans hospital, which is a primary referral site for several outpatient clinics. The hospital is a full service complex medical center with adequate resources to support the educational program. The podiatry service is staffed by a large dedicated group of teaching faculty, all fully trained in comprehensive medical and surgical care of the foot and ankle. The Salem VA Medical Center Residency Program is a well rounded comprehensive training program based at a large veterans hospital, which is a primary referral site for several outpatient clinics. The hospital is a full service complex medical center with adequate resources to support the educational program. Clerks will engage in both inpatient and outpatient settings while spending time in the operating room and participating in group academics along with the programs residents.
