Introduction
The Cape Fear Valley Health Podiatry Medicine and Surgery Residency Program is dedicated to training the next generation of skilled podiatric surgeons and clinicians. Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines extensive clinical training with hands-on surgical experience. Residents will develop the expertise needed to diagnose and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions while emphasizing patient-centered care. Cape Fear Valley is a robust multidisciplinary teaching hospital. Podiatry residents will become competent in all adult and pediatric foot and ankle pathology. Residency Overview
Cape Fear Valley is a robust multidisciplinary teaching hospital. Podiatry residents will become competent in all adult and pediatric foot and ankle pathology. The residents will be integrated into inpatient and outpatient podiatry services including the hospital operating room, surgery center, rounding, clinic and wound care center as well as weekly didactic activities. Strong emphasis on research and academics. With over 50,000 outpatient podiatry encounters and 3,500 surgical cases performed annually the podiatry department will provide a comprehensive training experience. The Emergency Department is the busiest in the state of North Carolina and top 12 busiest in the country. A new 120,000 square foot General Medical Education teaching facility with restaurant and gym is now open. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced teaching hospital.
