SVH PMSR/RRA-Cert program offers a well-rounded environment combining numerous academic, surgical and clinical experiences that help develop confident and well trained Podiatrists. Surgical cases at SVH are single scrubbed by residents. All numbers are usually reached by the end of 2nd year for FF/RRA. Residents are encouraged to scrub in on any uncovered cases at SVH including plastics, vascular and orthopedic cases. No Orthopedic residents are present at this hospital. Residents work with multiple Orthopedic Surgeons and Podiatry attendings. Besides private practice clinical experiences, SVH has a state of the art wound care center, which includes HBO treatment options. Board Review, case review, Attending Lectures, Journal Club are held weekly. Cadaver lab every 1-2 months.
