Introduction
This Harvard Medical School teaching hospital emphasizes surgery, academia, and research. No competing fellowships! Residents gain extensive training in advanced cases including total ankle replacement, ankle fractures, arthroscopy, reconstructive and deformity correction, external fixation, and plastic surgery. Residents cover all ankle and foot ER trauma, follow pre- and post-operative cases, and develop advanced clinical and billing skills with unique private clinic exposure. Residents also provide ongoing orthopedic and plastic surgery coverage. Private surgical skills lab with 24/7 cadaver access, professional ankle scope trainer, drills/saws, ex fix, screw sets, and more. Weekly board reviews, weekly preop conference; extensive didactics. Residency has received numerous ACFAS manuscript awards (only residency in New England) and extensive publications in peer reviewed journals.
