Residency Overview
Morristown Medical Center is the cornerstone of the Atlantic Health System. AHS includes 4 main hospitals as well as 3 surgery centers. Morristown Medical Center and its affiliates are located in historic suburban settings. This program does not accept candidates who have previously completed a residency program. Program emphasizes forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery, wound care, and trauma. This program has a large volume of surgical cases as well as a large volume of inpatients. Residents routinely graduate with approximately 800 surgical procedures. The application fee is utilized to offset expenses incurred in the central interview process. A clerkship at the Hospital is highly recommended. If a clerkship is not feasible, then a visit is very strongly recommended.
