Introduction

Our 36-month Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program at UPMC Harrisburg includes credentialing in Reconstructive and Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. We rotate through all aspects of medicine and provide access to the expertise of more than 20 qualified board-certified department members with a broad range of expertise, with the goal of producing a competent physician and surgeon. Our UPMC hospitals share roughly 13 residency and fellowship programs, allowing our residents to collaborate regularly with fellow physicians, surgeons, staff, and medical students. Our program provides excellent and intensive training in inpatient consultation and management of patients within a hospital setting. Involvement with resident/attending teaching and research is paramount and is a keystone for our program.
