Introduction

We have a very large Podiatric Surgical Dept which our residents benefit from, with the vast variety of educational and training experiences provided. We also boast a high volume Emergency and Trauma Center, outpatient clinic, inpatient services, wound care center, and surgical cases. These all help to provide each resident with outstanding academic and clinical learning opportunities. Our goal is to train premier podiatric physicians and surgeons who will practice with the utmost ethical standards.

One example is our Limb Preservation Program, which intimately involves the expertise of podiatry, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, infectious disease, and wound care specialists, all working together., toward a common goal in saving limbs.

Residency Overview

Excellent opportunity for a high energy resident with a thirst for knowledge. The Reading Hospital provides a wealth of learning resources from our large medical staff, trauma center, and Graduate Medical Education Department. The hospital touts a very high-volume ED, OR, wound care center, out-patient clinic, and in-patient teaching opportunities. The learning experience will nurture and develop a well-rounded podiatric physician and surgeon who will practice with the utmost ethical standards.
