Residency Overview

The program functions at the hub of Northwell Health (one of the largest health care systems in America). Four (4) entry level, positions, 4 second year and 4 third year positions. We are an approved PMSR/ RRA program (CPME 10/20/18). Both North Shore at Manhasset and Long Island Jewish (LIJ) are major teaching Hospitals for all aspects of Allopathic, Dental and Podiatric Medicine. Cohen's Children Hospital is part of the LIJ campus. Our program offers rotations in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery; trauma; elective foot surgery; diabetic wound care; diabetic Charcot reconstruction and limb preservation; Hyperbaric Medicine and modern wound center rotation. In addition, residents receive exposure in Sports Medicine and Biomechanics. Traumatology rotation for 2nd and 3rd year residents at Long Island Jewish and North Shore University Hospital.
