Program Overview

Program Emphasis

Our program provides an emphasis of training involving elective forefoot, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, trauma, reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery in a multispecialty academic environment. We offer a unique experience where residents will function as on call surgical residents throughout their training. Another distinctness of our program is that you will be involved in patient care from start to finish. Many residents just become surgical technicians and never see the patient after surgery and have no idea how to deal with issues surrounding the patient. Residents rotate through both hospital based and out-patient clinics that affords comprehensive training. Since we are affiliated with the New York College of Podiatric Medicine you have access to many faculty who are leaders in their field
