Wyckoff Heights Medical Center
Introduction
The Podiatry Residency Program at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has been in existence for over 35 years, and has graduated hundreds of successful podiatrists, many of whom are nationally recognized in their field. Residents gain the opportunity to have hands-on surgical experience in their 1st year and are given more complex tasks in accordance with their level of training. Our academic schedule consists of daily rounds, a podiatry clinic, a wound care clinic, and a podo-pediatric clinic. Teaching faculty are all involved in providing lectures, journal reviews, and cadaver labs. Radiology review and a variety of workshops are scheduled regularly. Residents get to work with a wide variety of podiatrists and gain a variety of experiences from every one of them. Historically, the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program has been known for having a comprehensive program with high volume exposure and experience for residents. We have maintained this tradition with mentorship provided by Senior Residents and Attendings in Podiatry and all of our rotations. Residents at Wyckoff will gain outstanding knowledge and experience, preparing them for their future. We have a tremendous volume and diversity in our surgical cases, clinics, inpatient and academic experiences, including trauma, forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery.Clerkship Program Contact

Residency Overview
A comprehensive clinical and academic approach to all areas of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. We have a varied and busy surgical schedule with hands-on resident experience as a key component of our training program. We take the training of each and every one of our residents individually and cooperatively as the primary objective of the program. The residents are given opportunities to attend and receive advanced training, certification in workshops, and seminars. The size and nature of the program itself support and promote a great amount of activity in both the academic and clinical aspects of the program. The surgical quantity and quality, the inpatient and outpatient clinical activity, and the volume of cases in the ER all reflect this devotion to advancing and improving the type and level of education and clinical experiences. Our academic schedule consists of daily rounds and the teaching faculty.
