Residency Overview
St. John's Episcopal Hospital is the only major teaching hospital on the peninsula of Far Rockaway, NY. We are a PMSR/RRA program that provides training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery including internal fixation of foot and ankle, trauma, sports injury, and diabetic limb salvage. Monthly journal clubs and weekly radio rounds. We also offer an on-site cadaver lab with unlimited access with guidance from our attending staff along with bonesaw workshops. In addition, our residents have the opportunity to scrub with and learn from 3 fellowship-trained Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeons at the outside surgical center. St. John's also has a modern Wound Care Center with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy with which we work along side the Wound Care Fellows.
